Privacy Policy — AI Refine
Keyboard
Last updated: 2026-05-04 Effective:
2026-05-04
AI Refine Keyboard (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by an individual
developer based in the United Arab Emirates. This Privacy Policy
explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you
use the AI Refine Keyboard application (“App”) for iOS, macOS, and
Android and related services.
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not
agree, please do not use the App.
1. Summary
- We do not log keystrokes (what you type letter by
letter).
- By default, we do not log, store, or retain the
readable text you select for “Improve” or “Translate” in production
after processing your request. That text is sent to our servers only to
process your request in real time, except as otherwise described in this
policy.
- Dictate / Speech: Voice recordings you submit for
Dictate are sent to our servers for transcription and may be processed
by our AI and speech-to-text providers. Server-side audio may be
retained for up to 10 days for service reliability,
debugging, abuse prevention, and security, and is normally deleted much
sooner.
- Dictate audio is transcribed into text. If you use the transcript
with Improve or Translate, the transcript is handled under the same
rules as selected text.
- If you enable an optional “Improve AI” data sharing
setting (when available), we may store de-identified or
pseudonymous, processed text-derived data (e.g., embeddings)
and limited metadata to help improve our product and AI quality. This
processed data is not stored as readable text and is
used only for quality evaluation, prompt selection, safety
tuning, and product improvement. We protect it and keep it only
for a limited period. You can disable this setting at any time.
- We collect account and usage data (for example,
anonymous device identifiers, account identifiers, session credentials,
device identifiers, usage counts, subscription status, and, where you
sign in, email address and Sign in with Apple identity data) to provide
the service, enforce quotas, secure accounts and sessions, and fix
issues.
- Analytics (e.g. events like “keyboard opened”,
“improve tapped”) are optional; you can turn them off in the App
settings. We do not include your typed or selected text in
analytics—only event names and metadata such as text length, screen or
feature name, device/app metadata, and pseudonymous identifiers.
- Payments may be processed through the app
marketplace where you downloaded/purchased the App or through another
authorized payment channel or payment provider. We do not receive or
store your full payment card details.
- Content moderation: Our AI provider may reject
content that violates its usage policies. We do not store rejected
content. We may retain limited metadata (e.g. that a request was
rejected) for security, abuse prevention, or legal compliance.
- We do not use voice recordings to identify you
biometrically, create voiceprints, or perform speaker recognition.
- Account identity: The App may use anonymous device
identifiers, account identifiers, session credentials, and related
account security data to link subscriptions, usage, and support data.
Some features may be used without providing an email address. If you
choose to sign in by email or with Sign in with Apple,
we process the relevant account identity data needed to authenticate
you, manage sessions, secure your account, link subscriptions, handle
account deletion or email disconnection, and provide support. This may
include your email address (including a private relay or masked email
provided through Sign in with Apple), email verification records, Apple
account subject identifier, and related session data.
- Error reports: If you or the App send an error
report, we may receive error codes, messages, and optional technical
context (e.g. endpoint, platform, app version, diagnostics, and related
debugging metadata). Do not include personal or sensitive content in
error reports.
- Device and usage: We collect a device
identifier (e.g. for quota and analytics), usage
counts (e.g. tokens used per day), platform
(iOS/macOS/Android), app version,
locale, push token / device registration
data, and subscription/entitlement data (plan,
product ID, status, expiry) so we can provide and limit the service
correctly.
- Text you select for Improve or Translate: This text
is sent to our servers only to fulfill your request. By
default, we do not retain the readable text in production after
processing. If you enable the optional “Improve AI” data sharing setting
(when available), we may store de-identified or pseudonymous,
processed text-derived data (e.g., embeddings) and limited
metadata derived from your use of Improve/Translate, as described in
Section 2.4.
- Voice recordings and transcripts for Dictate /
Speech: When you use Dictate, your voice recording is sent to
our servers to generate a transcript. We may process the audio file,
transcript, duration, file type, request ID, account or anonymous-device
identifier, device identifier, usage/billing metadata, and related
security metadata. Server-side audio may be retained for up to 10 days
for service reliability, debugging, abuse prevention, and security, and
is normally deleted much sooner. If you then use the transcript with
Improve or Translate, the transcript is processed like selected
text.
- Local audio drafts: The App may temporarily store
recordings, drafts, or transcripts on your device or in an app group
cache to finish processing, restore an interrupted session, or avoid
repeating a request.
- Microphone permission and keyboard network access:
Microphone access is controlled by your operating system. You can grant,
deny, or revoke it in system settings. Without microphone access,
Dictate will not work. Some keyboard features may also require Full
Access or equivalent network permission so the App can communicate with
our servers; disabling that permission may limit server-backed
features.
- Server logs and security metadata: Like most online
services, our servers may process and store basic security and
operational metadata such as timestamps, request outcome/error codes, IP
address, endpoint, app/platform version, and related anti-abuse or
reliability signals (for example, to protect against abuse and keep the
service reliable).
2.3 Analytics (optional)
- If you leave “Share analytics” enabled in the App, we may send
usage events (e.g. “keyboard opened”, “improve tapped”,
“translate tapped”) to our analytics provider. These events may include
pseudonymous or de-identified where applicable data
such as event name, text length (not content), screen or feature name,
device/app metadata, and a pseudonymous identifier. You can disable this
in the App settings at any time.
2.4
Optional “Improve AI” data sharing (opt-in; when available)
If you enable an optional “Improve AI” setting (when available), we
may collect and use additional data to help improve the App and our AI
quality. This may include:
- De-identified or pseudonymous, processed text-derived data
(e.g., embeddings) derived from your use of
Improve/Translate.
- Limited metadata (e.g. language, text length,
outcome) to measure quality, improve prompts/models, tune safety
systems, and reduce abuse.
When enabled, we may store this processed data to evaluate quality,
debug issues, and improve prompts, models, safety systems, and product
quality. This processed data is not stored as readable text, and we use
it only for those product-improvement purposes described here. Turning
this setting off stops future collection under this setting. If we have
already used opt-in data to train or improve models, it may not be
possible to remove its influence from those improvements, but we will
stop using new data going forward.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App (Improve, Translate, and
Dictate features, subscriptions, extra tokens).
- Enforce usage limits and subscription entitlements.
- Process and verify in-app purchases (via your app marketplace).
- Authenticate users, manage sessions, restore access, link
subscriptions, and process account deletion or email disconnection
requests.
- Diagnose and fix errors (using error reports and usage data).
- Understand aggregate usage (analytics), when enabled.
- Comply with applicable law and protect our rights.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and policy violations: We may
use metadata (e.g. account identifiers, request outcomes) to detect and
prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect the security of our
Services. Our AI provider may reject content that violates its policies;
we do not store the rejected content but may retain limited metadata for
these purposes.
By default, we do not use your readable selected
text, transcripts, or voice recordings for marketing, advertising,
biometric identification, voiceprints, speaker recognition, or training
our models beyond processing the request you make. If you enable the
optional “Improve AI” setting (when available), we may use opt-in
processed text-derived data as described in Section 2.4.
Please avoid submitting passwords, one-time codes, seed phrases,
private keys, API keys, payment card numbers, bank credentials,
government IDs, confidential information, children’s voice recordings,
or third-party personal data unless you have the necessary rights,
permissions, and lawful basis or consent.

4.1 AI processing
- Text you submit for “Improve” or “Translate” is sent to our
AI provider to generate results. Voice recordings
submitted for Dictate are sent to our servers and may be processed by
our AI and speech-to-text providers to generate
transcripts. If you enable the optional “Improve AI” setting (when
available), de-identified or pseudonymous processed text-derived data
(e.g. embeddings) may also be used for the product-improvement purposes
described in this policy. These providers process data in accordance
with their own data processing, security, and retention practices.
- Our retention process applies to server-side audio files that we
store. Audio may be retained on our servers for up to 10 days and is
normally deleted much sooner. This retention process does not control
third-party provider logs or retention practices.
- Our AI and speech-to-text providers may apply content
moderation and may reject content that violates their usage
policies (e.g. illegal, harmful, or prohibited content). When content is
rejected, we do not store the rejected content itself. We may retain
limited metadata (e.g. that a request was blocked) for security, abuse
prevention, or legal compliance. See our Terms of
Use for prohibited content.
4.2 Payments
- Payments may be processed through the app marketplace where you
downloaded or purchased the App, or through another authorized payment
channel or payment provider. We do not receive or store your full
payment card details, but we may receive limited purchase, billing,
refund, or entitlement metadata needed to provide the Services, verify
purchases, prevent fraud, and handle support.
4.3 Analytics
- When analytics are enabled, we may send event data to
PostHog (or a similar analytics service). No content of
your text is sent; only event names and pseudonymous or de-identified
where applicable metadata (e.g. text length, screen name, feature usage,
device/app metadata).
4.4 Advertising
- We do not currently show advertising in the App. We may introduce
advertising in the future. If we do, we will update this policy,
describe what data is used for ads, and provide opt-out options where
required by law.
4.5 Cookies and website
tracking
If you visit our website
(https://airefinekeyboard.datamanufactory.pro), we may use
cookies and similar technologies (e.g. local storage)
to:
- Run the website (strictly necessary cookies).
- Remember preferences and settings (where available).
- Measure and improve website performance and reliability (analytics
cookies/SDKs), where available and where required by law, with your
consent.
You can control cookies in your browser settings (including blocking
or deleting cookies). If we use an on-site cookie banner or preference
center, you can also manage your choices there. Blocking certain cookies
may affect website functionality.
4.6 Other sharing
- We may disclose information if required by law, to protect our
rights or safety, or in connection with a merger, sale, or
restructuring, subject to applicable law.
- We may disclose information to government authorities, law
enforcement, or other third parties when we believe in good faith that
disclosure is necessary to: (a) comply with legal obligations; (b)
protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or the
public; (c) detect or prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms;
or (d) protect against legal liability.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Data Retention
- Account and usage data: Retained as long as your
account/entitlement is active and as needed for billing, support, fraud
prevention, dispute resolution, and legal obligations.
- Selected text for Improve/Translate: By default,
readable text is not stored in production after processing; it is
processed in real time only except as otherwise described in this
policy.
- Dictate audio and transcripts: Voice recordings
submitted for Dictate are processed on our servers and may be retained
for up to 10 days for service reliability, debugging,
abuse prevention, and security, and are normally deleted much sooner.
Dictate transcripts may be used as input for Improve or Translate if you
choose those actions and are then handled like selected text.
- Local audio drafts: Local recordings, drafts, and
transcripts stored on your device or in an app group cache are temporary
and may be removed by the App, operating system, or when the related
session or draft expires.
- Opt-in “Improve AI” processed data (if enabled; when
available): De-identified or pseudonymous processed
text-derived data (e.g. embeddings) and limited metadata may be retained
for a limited period for quality evaluation, prompt/model improvement,
safety tuning, and product improvement, and then deleted or
de-identified. Aggregated or de-identified learnings may be retained
longer.
- Rejected or blocked content: We do not store the
content itself. We may retain limited metadata (e.g. that a request was
rejected, account identifier, timestamp) for security, abuse prevention,
fraud detection, or legal compliance, for as long as necessary for those
purposes.
- Error reports: Retained for a limited period for
debugging, security review, and abuse prevention, and then deleted or
de-identified in line with our retention policy.
- Analytics: Retained according to our analytics
provider’s retention settings; you can disable analytics at any
time.
We delete or de-identify data based on triggers such as: (a)
expiration of a limited retention period, (b) completion of the purpose
for which the data was collected, (c) you turning off an optional
setting (e.g. “Improve AI”), and (d) a valid deletion request where
applicable. If data is de-identified, it may no longer be possible to
link it to a specific user or delete it on an individual basis.
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures (e.g. encryption in transit and at
rest, access controls) to protect the data we hold. No system is
completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6.1 Incident response
We maintain an incident response process to investigate and respond
to security incidents. If a data incident affects your personal data, we
will notify you and/or relevant authorities as required by
applicable law. For questions or concerns, contact us at
[email protected].
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (subject to legal and operational
requirements).
- Object or restrict certain processing.
- Port your data (data portability).
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on
consent (e.g. analytics, optional “Improve AI” data sharing).
- Complain to a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights or ask questions about our practices,
contact us at
[email protected].
To request account deletion, you can use the in-app flow in
Settings > Account > Delete account, or visit
https://airefinekeyboard.datamanufactory.pro/account-deletion.
We may ask for additional information only when needed to verify that
you are the account holder. Deleting your account does not automatically
cancel App Store, Google Play, or Stripe subscriptions; you must manage
or cancel subscriptions through the store or payment provider where you
purchased them. We may retain limited data where required or permitted
for security, fraud prevention, billing, tax, legal, or compliance
reasons.
7.1 Region-specific
disclosures (summary)
- EU/EEA/UK (GDPR): We process data on the bases of
contract performance (e.g. to provide Improve, Translate, Dictate,
subscriptions, and support), legitimate interests (e.g. service
reliability, debugging, security, fraud and abuse prevention), and
consent where applicable (e.g. optional analytics or “Improve AI”
settings). You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your
local data protection authority.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell personal
information. Depending on your situation, you may have the right to
know, access, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out
of certain “sharing” as defined by applicable law. We will not
discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
- Russia (152-FZ): Depending on your situation, you
may have rights to access, correct, and delete personal data and to
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can contact
us using the email above to exercise these rights.
- Other regions: We will honour applicable local
privacy laws.
8. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or higher age where
required). We do not knowingly collect personal information from
children. Do not submit voice recordings of children unless you have the
necessary rights, permissions, and lawful basis or consent. If you
believe we have collected such data, please contact
[email protected] and we will
delete it where required and reasonably possible.
9. International Transfers
We are based in the United Arab Emirates. Your data
may be processed in the UAE and in other countries where our service
providers operate. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards
for international transfers (e.g. standard contractual clauses or other
lawful transfer mechanisms).
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the
updated policy on https://airefinekeyboard.datamanufactory.pro and,
where required, notify you (e.g. in the App or by email). The “Last
updated” date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after
changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
